The latest development in multilayer mirrors for rotating anode generators is the Helios multilayer mirror. This optics delivers four times more intensity than a standard multilayer optics, such as a Montel 200 mirror. Furthermore, our customized mirror housing allows the precise alignment of the mirror and a variable adjustment of the beam divergence to resolve long unit cell axis. The mirror housing is vacuum-proofed and radiation safe and can easily be attached to all common rotating anode generators.
Two diffraction patterns of a thaumatin crystal recorded with a Bruker AXS Smart6000 detector on a Siemens SRA rotating anode coupled with: a) Osmic blue optic (left); b) Helios multilayer mirror (right) (both images recorded on the same thaumatin crystal with 10 s exposure time, Δφ=0.18°,
T = 100 K; generator setting 45 kV, 90 mA).
