IµS for parallel beam SAXS

IµS-SAXS consists of the IµS 30 W microfocus source and a dedicated 2D parallel beam Montel multilayer mirror. In a three-pinhole SAXS setup, the gain in intensity is five times higher than a conventional setup with a fine focus sealed tube and cross-coupled Göbel Mirrors for Cu radiation. This improvement in performance is the optimum achievable value as predicted with ray tracing calculations.

Bruker AXS Nanostar

AgBh test sample

SAXS pattern of a silver behenate standard sample measured with a Bruker AXS NanoSTAR. The intensity is 5x higher than that of a sealed tube system equipped with cross-coupled Göbel Mirrors.
