Coating

Incoatec produces X-ray optics and other thin films using sputtering technology. Films can be produced on 6'' substrates with a homogeneity of ± 0.1%. Rectangular substrates can be coated up to a length of 150 cm. Ultra precise thickness gradients as needed for the elliptically and parabolically shaped optics are achieved with deviations below 1 % of the ideal thickness distribution. We are particularly proud of our patent for the extremely accurate coating of ultra precisely formed prefigured substrates. We use the following techniques to manufacture our coatings:

• UHV Magnetron Sputtering
• Ion-Beam Sputtering (if required)

We can manufacture your optics according to your specific requirements by means of simulation methods in which we have experience with more than 50 different target materials in our lab for film deposition.
