Installation of a Ag-IµS Microfocus Source
In December 2009 a group headed by Dr. Pierre Bordet at the CNRS Institut Néel, Grenoble received an early christmas present - the Ag-IµS. A team of engineers and scientists from Bruker AXS SAS France and Incoatec GmbH installed the high brilliant Microfocus Source at the Institut Néel.

| Time to Say Goodbye ...
After many years of reliable service, the time had come for the Ag-sealed tube to make way for more brightness. |

| Preparing the Goniometer Claude Caucheteux, service engineer at Bruker AXS SAS France, starts preparing the Kappa-CCD electronics for the IµS, after removing the sealed tube. |

| A Stable Beam requires ... ... a Stable Assembly A newly designed support table, not only stable but also attractive in design is installed by Incoatec´s service engineer Lars Kuttnik. |

| IµS Alignment - On the Road to Brilliance! Brilliance is just a few steps away. Dr. Jürgen Graf, Incoatec´s application scientist, starts aligning the IµS, focusing a beam less than 100 µm in diameter precisely to the center of the goniometer. |

| The Job is Done Equiped with the IµS, the latest, high brilliant Ag Microfocus X-ray Source, the Kappa-CCD is ready for new exciting science. First results to be shown here soon! |
